This wine day trip leaves Florence for the Chianti countryside and visits two local wineries. At each one there is a guided tasting of regional wines, Chianti Classico among them, served with olive oil and traditional Tuscan specialties. The route also includes a stop at either Monteriggioni or San Gimignano, depending on the option chosen. Both are medieval villages, good for views, photos and a short walk. Tastings are held in English, and the tour leader translates when needed. The tour involves a moderate amount of stairs and walking. Opening times can change during special events, and the itinerary may be adjusted, though all stops will still be visited.
