A coach takes the group from Florence into the Chianti hills, past vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees. Two traditional wineries in the Chianti Classico region are on the route, and winemakers lead the walks through vines and cellars. The tastings are guided and include Chianti Classico DOCG. Bruschetta, salami and pecorino cheese come with the wine, and the winemakers cover the basics of tasting and food pairing. The last stop before the drive back is Monteriggioni, a medieval village inside ancient stone walls. There is free time to walk its quiet streets, the piazza and the Romanesque church, and to look out over the countryside.
